What is a Die Change Cart or Mold Cart?

A die change cart or mold change cart makes transporting extremely heavy loads for quick die changes or quick mold changes simple and safe. Green Valley Manufacturing develops custom solutions ranging from free ranging powered walk-behind carts that can operate in confined spaces, to rail-mounted carts that can carry loads in excess of 100,000 pounds. From ride along or radio controlled carts, each solution is designed to meet your specific needs. What to look for in a Die Transfer Cart

Single Station Die Transfer cart or Die Handling Cart:

Green Valley Manufacturing’s most popular cart. The single station die/mold cart is used to move dies or heavy materials between the press, die storage, and maintenance area. The primary advantage is having powered transfer on the deck as well as variable deck heights. Transfer carts have the advantage of moving the entire length of the manufacturing facility, while dies that are moved by cranes are limited to the distance of the crane travel.

Dual Station Cart:

Over / under or dual station carts allow transfer at the press without traveling to a die storage area. Changing dies at the press can lead to tremendous time savings leading to higher profits.
